Big Bear Youth Football Games are played on one of two football fields. One is located behind Big Bear Middle School and the other is in Meadow Park, Big Bear Lake.
Directions to the Football Field
Driving distance from Mammoth Lakes is about 312 miles via the shortest route. Allow six and a half hours driving time in good weather.
Route Variation One to Lucerne Valley
Proceed south on U.S. Highway 395 to Kramer Junction, then east on State Route 58 to Barstow ... about 254 miles, four and a half hours.
At the junction of State Route 58 and Interstate 15, go east into Barstow about three miles and turn south on State Route 247 (Barstow Road) toward Lucerne Valley (about 33 miles).
Route Variation Two to Lucerne Valley
Proceed south on U.S. Highway 395 past Kramer Junction to State Route 18 in Adalanto ... about 256 miles, four and three-quarters hours.
Turn east on State Route 18 toward Lucerne Valley (about 29 miles).
In Lucerne Valley, at the junction of State Routes 247 and 18, take State Route 18 toward Big Bear Lake, about 25 miles. Continue past Big Bear City on the south side of the lake toward the town of Big Bear Lake.
NOTE: As you can see by looking at the vicinity map, just before arriving at Big Bear City, State Route 18 meets State Route 38. At this junction, if, instead of going to Big Bear City, you continue west on State Route 38 (W. North Shore Drive) for 2.4 miles, then cut south back to State Route 18 on the Stanfield Cutoff, you can avoid some congested areas and it may be a little faster.
Big Bear Middle School has a metal roof and is located at 41275 Big Bear Boulevard (State Route 18). There is a stoplight at the intersection of Big Bear Blvd and Georgia Street and the school is across Georgia Street and to the left (south).
For the Big Bear Middle School field, continue through the signal on Big Bear Blvd. to the west side of the school and turn left onto Jeffries. Drive up Jeffries, past the school, past the baseball field to the football field.
For the Meadow Park field, at the stoplight, turn right (north) on to Georgia Street and continue north to Park Avenue. At Park Avenue, turn left to the field. Paved parking lot behind the building at the northwest end of the field (at Mountainaire Lane).
