Kern Valley Youth Football Games are played on the Kern Valley High School football field located at 3340 Erskine Creek Road in the town of Lake Isabella.
Directions to the Football Field
Driving distance from Mammoth Lakes is about 218 miles. Allow four and a half hours driving time in good weather.
Proceed south on U.S. Highway 395 for about 165 miles to the junction with State Route 14.
Continue south on State Route 14 about 7 miles to the junction with State Route 178. Turn right (west) on to State Route 178 toward Lake Isabella. Proceed over Walker Pass. Note that parts of this road contain sharp curves so watch your speed.
Continue west and south about 44 miles to the junction with State Route 155. Take the off ramp to SR 155 and turn left (southeast) on to Nugget Avenue. DO NOT GO TO KERNVILLE.
At the stoplight (one of two in Lake Isabella) turn right (south) on to Lake Isabella Blvd.
Proceed south on Lake Isabella Blvd 8 tenths of a mile and turn left (west) at the stoplight (the second one in Lake Isabella) onto Erskine Creek Road.
In about half a mile Erskine Creek Road turns sharply right (south) ... another 3 tenths of a mile brings you to the Kern Valley High School and adjacent Woodrow Wallace Middle School.
The football field is visible behind the school buildings ... a road between the high and middle schools takes you to parking for the football field.
